Hey, friends! Thanks for coming by. I wanted to update everyone on our progress and where we are as of this month! We all know this mama sucks at blogging, so I am going to try better this year! HA!
Hey guys! I wanted to drop in and let everyone know Maddalena is doing wonderful lately. She has really taken off with the walking and despite her little fall she had, she really has been kicking booty.
Man..this mama sucks at blogging. Let’s be honest. FACE PALM. Anyways…something huge has happened in the last month! MADDALENA has started to walk with a walker!
How many of our followers deal with PTSD related to the the NICU or having a premature baby. What about PTSD from a traumatic birth? While this blog and website is for Maddalena, PTSD is a part of our daily life too—for mama and daddy.
Something huge has happened since I last wrote! Maddalena is now crawling on ALL fours! May not be perfect and that reciprocal movement is not there 100 %, but we are no longer army crawling! This is another huge milestone for her!
HAAY! Guess what?! Mighty Maddalena turned TWO on Monday! So many cool things have happened lately and I thought I would update everyone who doesn’t follow along our facebook page!
I’m such a slacker! I had all intentions of updating everyone on how Maddalena’s ortho appt went last week and then MOM BRAIN happened. Here’s a short update on our appointment + a few other things!
So, when you’re seeing a pediatric neurologist for a neurological disorder, you typically have many follow ups, whether it be every 4 months, 6 months, or every year.
Welcome to Mighty Maddalena!
Hello! We are Kayla and Maddalena. She is my sweet, sassy, fun, and loving five year old. I’m her mama and biggest fan.
We started this page to raise awareness and give hope to other parents who have children with special needs. Maddalena was born premature at 31 weeks gestation. Due to a traumatic birth, she suffered brain damage and a bilateral grade III brain bleed resulting in Ventriculomegaly. At fifteen months old Maddalena was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy. At four years old Maddalena was diagnosed with autism, intellectual disability, and epilepsy.
At Mighty Maddalena, you’ll find us documenting our journey. We’re so happy to have you here!
Guess who’s BACCCCCK?!?!
